Noise station was designed to produce high quality music on any PC by emulation. Fast but low quality previews would be available while composing before producing a final version direct to disk. The program uses engines, a component that creates or modifies sound to create effects on an instrument, track, or song basis. No extra hardware like a MIDI keyboard is needed or supported.
